Funding Will Take Big Trucks Off Tofield Roads

Capital funding in the 2017 Provincial Budget will help fund a bypass on Highway 834

The Town of Tofield finally received some good news in the 2017 Provincial Budget, with the announcement of a new five kilometer bypass of Highway 834, re-routing industrial traffic away from the town.

Mayor of Tofield, Harold Conquest, says it's a win-win situation, for the town, and truckers.

Construction of the realignment is expected to start in the spring of 2020, with a projected cost of $10 to $15 million.
