Elk Island Public Schools has released the results of a recent survey that asked stake holders about the school calendar

Elk Island Public Schools has released the results of a recent survey that asked stake holders about the school calendar. Participants were asked whether they prefer the school year beginning before Labour Day and have it include a November break, or beginning after Labour Day and have it not include a November break.

Director of Communications for Elk Island Public Schools, Laura McNabb, says, according to the results, most people want the school calendar to remain status quo.

McNabb adds that all the results and the approximately 1600 comments have been compiled and provided for the Board of Trustees to review. A decision on the configuration of the next school year will be made during the Board meeting on December 21.
