Cheque Fraudsters Caught

Two people are facing charges for allegedly passing more than $33,000 worth of bad cheques throughout Alberta

The RCMP have made an arrest in the case of a couple writing dozens of bad cheques.

Virginia and Daryl Wallis of Leduc County are facing charges for passing over 40 bad cheques throughout the province. The total dollar amount of goods obtained by this couple is in excess of $33,000, and that number is growing.
Since the couple was identified, reports of bad cheques being written across the province are coming in from various police detachments, and is expected to keep growing.

RCMP are reminding businesses across the province to take the appropriate precautions to ensure they are protected from being victimized in similar offenses in the future.
